Represented a designer, manufacturer, and seller of memorabilia pieces. A team of three former employees resigned and opened a directly-competing business using the client’s confidential information. Following a jury trial, the jury found in favor of the Firm’s client on all claims and awarded nearly $500,000.00 in damages on each claim. The Court also awarded exemplary damages (double damages) and attorneys’ fees, resulting in a total judgment of $1,517,070.46. A permanent injunction was also entered, and the judgment was affirmed on appeal.

Represented two married couples who attempted to sell their oceanfront homes through an auction. The high bidder reneged, and the Firm sued for breach of contract and declaratory relief, seeking to retain a $1,000,000.00 deposit. Following a bench trial, the court concluded that the clients were entitled to the $1,000,000.00 deposit, plus interest, attorneys’ fees, and costs. The Third District Court of Appeal affirmed, resulting in a recovery of more than $1,400,000.00 for the clients.
