A husband and wife and their infant son were stopped in traffic in a construction zone when they were rear ended at highway speeds by a semi-truck. The family vehicle burst into flames and all three died from their injuries.

Trucking Accident

A husband and wife were traveling down the highway when they approached a thick wall of smoke. Unbeknownst to the husband and wife, they were approaching a broken down battery truck which was the cause of the smoke. Their vehicle made minor contact with this battery truck. After some time, another semi-truck entered the wall of smoke and broadsided our client’s vehicle. The husband died on the scene and the wife was permanently disabled.

Our client was at a trampoline park with his son when he did a front flip for the second time into the foam pit. Our client over-rotated his flip and landed on his head rendering him quadriplegic. It was found that the foam pit was not kept up to relevant industry standards. Plaintiff had to overcome a signed waiver argument and Defense’s argument that there are no required guidelines/standards for foam pits; therefore, owed no duty to Plaintiff.

A speeding semi-tractor, pulling a double tanker trailer broad-sided a vehicle that had slowed and was attempting an illegal u-turn. The wreck resulted in the wrongful death of the driver of the vehicle. Additionally, there were severe injuries to the pregnant passenger including the infliction of post traumatic cerebral palsy to the passenger’s son, who was in utero during the accident.

Trucking Accident

On the snowy afternoon of the collision, the Plaintiff’s four of four was parked in the emergency lane due to an accumulation of snow of their windshield and poor road conditions. The Defendant was driving at an excessive speed for the circumstance and lost control of his tractor-trailer. The semi jackknifed and hit the left rear portion of the Plaintiff’s vehicle. The Plaintiff husband, the driver, succumbed to his injuries the evening of the crash and passed away. His two daughters and wife were also severely injured in the accident.
