Joshua M. Whitaker
Josh Whitaker is one of the founding partners of Whitaker & Hamer, PLLC, with over 20 years of experience in real estate law. Starting as an original partner at McCullers & Whitaker, PLLC, formed in 2004, Josh has dedicated his career to helping clients achieve their dreams of homeownership and resolving complex real estate disputes. A North Carolina native, Josh graduated from Garner Senior High School, North Carolina State University, and the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University. Living in Raleigh’s 27603 area, nestled between Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Apex, and Cary, Josh knows the Triangle area like the back of his hand. Josh’s practice focuses on real estate law, business and contract law, and general civil litigation. He routinely advises clients on real estate transactions-both residential and commercial-business entity creation, estate planning and probate. His dedication and knowledge has earned him a spot on the 2022 and 2023 North Carolina Lawyers’ Weekly Real Estate Law Power List. In addition to his legal practice, Josh is the creator and host of the “Judica County Radio” podcast, which offers legal news and insights to listeners statewide. The podcast, nominated for a 2022 People’s Choice Podcast Award for Best News/Political Podcast, airs on various stations across North Carolina, with its flagship airing every Saturday at 4 PM on 106.1 The Talk. Outside of the office, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, Charolette, and their three boys, exploring the Triangle area. A longtime Willie Nelson fan, Josh and Charolette have attended numerous concerts and plan to keep the tradition alive.

Aaron C. Low
Aaron C. Low graduated from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2003, and joined the firm in 2021. Aaron is married with three beautiful children, who are the pride of his life. Aaron is also a dedicated Christian and gives glory to God in his representation of his clients and his personal life. Aaron has been practicing in the field of civil litigation since graduating law school in 2003, handling a variety of cases, ranging from personal injury to property disputes to contract litigation. He has been the attorney for defendants and for plaintiffs, and for insurance companies and claimants, as they navigate through the court system to seek justice. Aaron has extensive experience as a civil litigator and has been able to work with all sides to reach a variety of settlements and judgments for his clients. Aaron has tried a number of complex cases, including personal injury cases, complex property disputes, breach of fiduciary duty cases among family members, and contract disputes. Aaron is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina and worked for the law firm of Stott, Hollowell, Palmer & Windham, PA for 13 years before joining Whitaker & Hamer, PLLC. Aaron looks forward to bringing his expertise and talents to Whitaker & Hamer, PLLC to serve his clients across the state.

Joseph T. Hamer
Joe Hamer is a partner at Whitaker & Hamer, PLLC, where he has been serving clients since the spring of 2013. Born and raised in Clayton, North Carolina, Joe continues to live there with his wife Lindsey and four children-Kamryn, Grover, Vinson, and Magnolia-on his family’s farm that has been in his family since the 1800s. The new Clayton office is even located in the childhood home of his great cousins, reflecting Joe’s deep roots in the community. A standout student and athlete, Joe played basketball and football during high school. He graduated as valedictorian from Barton College in 2008, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, before attending the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University. Joe passed the bar in 2011, all while navigating the challenges of being a new father, with his daughter Kamryn born that same year. Joe is a die-hard Duke University and Carolina Panthers fan, staying loyal regardless of their records, and also enjoys rooting for the Carolina Hurricanes. Outside of his legal practice, he loves playing basketball, watching Duke sports, and riding his four-wheeler on his family’s farm.

Ashley M. Pinner
Ashley Pinner is a North Carolina native. She currently resides in the greater Garner/Raleigh area with her family. She joined McCullers, Whitaker, & Hamer, now Whitaker & Hamer, in 2014, and has been an amazing addition to the firm both professionally and personally. Ashley is a proud N.C. State University alumna, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Valedictorian of her class, and earning her Bachelor’s in Political Science in 2008. After taking two years off to work as a legal assistant for a local private practice, she attended Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, graduating Cum Laude in 2013. Ashley is a dedicated attorney able to assist with your estate planning or real estate needs; she is also a full-time mother to her daughter, as well as Col. Cuddles, her loyal pug companion, and Gertrude the Great (“Gertie”), her vociferous German Shepherd protector. Outside of her love for her family, Ashley enjoys watching any and all monster movies, especially the “B” rated collection. You can also catch her playing trivia, gardening, reading, and working crossword puzzles. Ashley can be found at our Fuquay and Garner offices most often, but also accommodates clients in the firm’s Raleigh and Clayton offices when needed.

Jordan S. Mackey
Attorney Jordan Mackey joined the team at Whitaker & Hamer, PPLC, in the summer of 2020. Jordan has lived in North Carolina all of his life, and he lives in the Goldsboro area and works in the firm’s Goldsboro office. Jordan concentrates his practice in real estate law. In Jordan’s spare time, he enjoys playing golf, trying out new recipes, and spending time at the beach. On game day, you can catch him cheering on his all-time favorite sports team, the Carolina Panthers.

Cameron D. Sullivan
Cameron joined the law firm of Whitaker & Hamer, PLLC in the winter of 2013. Cameron works in the firm’s office in Clayton, North Carolina. Cameron concentrates his practice on a number of areas including business and real property law. Cameron was born and raised in Clayton, and currently resides there with his wife, Victoria, his daughter Ashlyn, and their three dogs Boogie, Maggie, and Whiskey. Cameron enjoys video games, carpentry and spending time with his family.

Priscilla McKoy
Attorney Priscilla McKoy is a native of Raleigh, NC. She received her Bachelor of Science degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish from North Carolina Central University. Attorney McKoy attended law school at North Carolina Central University School of Law where she received her Juris Doctor degree. Attorney McKoy joined the firm of Whitaker & Hamer, PLLC in 2024 as the lead attorney of the Raleigh Office and brings over a decade of experience practicing law in North Carolina. She handles a variety of legal matters to include real estate closings, criminal and civil matters, and uncontested family law cases. Attorney McKoy is a member of the Tenth Judicial District Bar and has a passion to provide legal services to underprivileged and underrepresented populations. Outside of work, Attorney McKoy enjoys spending her free time reading and is a fan of the urban fiction genre. She is a free spirit who enjoys seizing the moment and creating memories with her family and friends.
