Nicholas E. Phillips

Nicholas E. Phillips is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate. Mr. Phillips heads the litigation department of Phillips & Mille Co., L.P.A.. He has practiced law for over forty years. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Kent State University in 1970 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron in 1973. He has represented clients in civil and criminal jury trials and is actively engaged in managing the firm’s cases where litigation is possible or where matters require the litigation process to achieve final resolution. Mr. Phillips is experienced in the following types of litigation: medical malpractice, products liability, personal injury, automobile and motorcycle crashes, wrongful death cases, injuries to minors, victims of crimes, industrial injuries, commercial litigation, collection actions, corporate disputes, contract disputes, construction claims, administrative agency claims and other similar adversarial proceedings. As an FAA licensed pilot, her represents pilots and aircraft owners in the purchase and sale of an air craft, FAA medical issues and FAA enforcement actions.

Phillip J. Henry

Phillip J. Henry has been an attorney with Phillips & Mille since 2005. Phil is an aggressive litigator who stands up for his clients. Whether representing a client pursuing a claim, or defending against a claim, Phil will assist his client to understand the claim, ensure that their rights are protected, and will make recommendations as to what options are in their best interest. Phil is experienced in the following areas of litigation: personal injury, medical malpractice, trust and probate litigation, consumer protection litigation and corporate disputes. He also practices in real estate and corporate law.

Erica A. Skerl

Erica A. Skerl is a shareholder of Phillips & Mille, where she has been an attorney since 2011. Erica is a Certified Elder Law Attorney through the National Elder Law Foundation, which is the only certification accredited by both the American Bar Association and the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Certification of Attorneys as Specialists. Of the approximately 38,000 attorneys in Ohio, only 32 are Certified Elder Law Attorneys. Erica is a very experienced with the unique needs of our seniors as they age. As a Certified Elder Law Attorney, Erica specializes in long term care planning and preserving assets. Erica’s practice also includes the following areas: estate planning, powers of attorney, healthcare powers of attorney, living wills, wills, advance long term care planning, asset protection planning, Medicaid, guardianships, and trust and estate administration.

Csilla E. Smith

Csilla E. Smith joined Phillips & Mille in 2023. Csilla’s practice includes the following areas: estate planning, estate administration, long term care planning, financial powers of attorney, healthcare powers of attorney, living wills, wills, guardianships, asset protection planning, and trust administration. Csilla is experienced and sensitive in assisting, advising, and walking alongside those going through the process of administering a loved one’s estate. Csilla enjoys getting to know clients and advising clients regarding their specific and unique circumstances. Estate planning is not a one size fits all situation. In her immediate family Csilla has experienced firsthand the unexpected loss of loved ones, intestate estate administration, long term care needs, and lack of estate planning.
