Carl T. Baker

Carl T. Baker is a founding Partner leading the firm’s Trusts and Estates practice group with concentration in estate planning, wills and trusts, estate tax issues, and elder law. Mr. Baker joined our predecessor firm as an Associate Attorney in 1978, and was named a Partner in 1983. He has been recognized in Upstate New York Super Lawyers since 2007, The Best Lawyers in America since 1995, and Who’s Who in American Law, 7th Edition.

John D. Aspland, Jr.

John Aspland, Jr. is the Managing Partner at FitzGerald Morris Baker Firth and the leader of the firm’s litigation practice group, with broad experience in general litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, criminal defense, employment litigation, civil rights, and municipal law. He joined the firm as an Associate Attorney in 2002, became a partner in 2004, and was elected Managing Partner in 2016.

Joshua D. Lindy

Joshua D. Lindy is a Partner in the Litigation practice group, with concentration in insurance defense, family law, personal injury, and general litigation. Josh joined the firm as an Associate Attorney in 2012, became a Senior Associate in 2015, was appointed Counsel in 2021, and was named a Partner in 2023.

Thomas G. Clements

Thomas G. Clements became Senior Counsel to FitzGerald Morris Baker Firth in 2024 after having practiced law in partnership with his wife, Dina Morielli Clements, for over 30 years. He was First Assistant County Attorney in Warren County from 1994 until 1998. He has extensive experience in civil litigation and now concentrates his practice in estate planning, estate administration and real estate transactions. He also has experience in aviation, bankruptcy and construction law.

James D. Horwitz

James Horwitz joined FitzGerald Morris Baker Firth as an Of Counsel attorney in August 2016 to expand the firm’s practice into healthcare law. He was appointed Senior Counsel in 2023. Mr. Horwitz has previously served as Vice President of Corporate Responsibility and General Counsel at Glens Falls Hospital, with extensive experience in compliance matters, contract review and negotiation, and Article 28 guardianships.

Elizabeth E. Little

Elizabeth E. Little is Of Counsel to the firm, providing legal services in the areas of litigation, trusts and estates, and real estate. Elizabeth joined the firm in 2021.

Bethany C. Johnson

Bethany Johnson is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Trusts and Estates practice group, with concentrations in estate planning and estate/trust administration. She joined the firm in 2024.
