Michael E. Catalinotto

Mike Catalinotto, our senior partner, has been an integral member of the firm for over 60 years. He is an intelligent, intense litigator, earning the highest possible Martindale-Hubbell ranking of AV from his fellow practitioners, a testament to the fact that his peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence. In 1995, Mike’s name was added to the the name of the firm, in recognition of his decades of exemplary legal service on behalf of the firm throughout the Greater Capital Region and south to New York City. An active community member in his hometown of Saugerties, Mike is a former Town Justice and Town Attorney; a former member of the New York State Republican Committee, the Ulster County Republican Committee and the Ulster County Ethics Committee; former chair of the Town of Saugerties Republican Committee; and delegate and secretary of the Republican Judicial Committee for the Third Judicial District. Mike is a committed community volunteer and has served as president of the Saugerties Rotary Club; he is also a member and advocate of the Saugerties Knights of Columbus Council 4536, the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce, and the Saugerties Area Chamber of Commerce.

Robert A. Rausch

Rob represents clients in a wide variety of personal injury matters including slip and fall accidents, motor vehicle accidents, and construction site litigation. He joined Maynard O’Connor in 1997 and was named a partner in 2004. Rob received his legal degree from Albany Law School and is a past president of the Albany Law School National Alumni Association. In 2019, Rob was honored with the Albany Law School’s Excellence in Alumni Service Award. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Western Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the U.S. He is the past President of the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association and is also a member of the Albany County and New York State Bar Associations. Every year between 2012 and 2024, Rob was honored by Super Lawyers magazine and included in its annual issue acknowledging outstanding Upstate New York attorneys, and was recognized for his successes in the categories of both “Personal Injury Defense: General” and “Appellate Practice”. Robert has handled numerous trials to verdict and has argued appeals at all levels of state and federal courts. He has also lectured and authored materials for use in many continuing legal education programs for attorneys. Rob is a graduate of Le Moyne College and remains very involved in the Le Moyne College Alumni Association. In addition, Rob is the former co-chair of Dancing in the Woods, a fundraiser to benefit the Albany Medical Center Children’s Cancer Center. He has also served as a mentor for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Team in Training.” An avid runner, Rob has completed five marathons and forty-five half marathons. In his spare time, Rob enjoys travel and is pursuing a lifetime goal of visiting all MLB parks and US National Parks. Rob resides in Guilderland with his wife.

Adam T. Mandell

Adam T. Mandell, Esq., of Palenville, New York, was named a partner of Maynard, O’Connor, Smith & Catalinotto, LLP, effective January 1, 2015. Adam joined the firm as an associated attorney in 2008 and has successfully represented individuals, businesses and municipal entities in State and Federal Courts. He primarily practices in the firm’s Saugerties Office, with a concentration in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, commercial matters and complex litigation. He also devotes a portion of his practice to appellate advocacy. Adam graduated from Hobart College in 2001. He attended Western New England College School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 2006, cum laude. Adam is a Delegate to the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) House of Delegates, a Board Member of the Ulster County Bar Association, and serves on the Committee for Character and Fitness for the Third Judicial District. He was also selected to be included in the 2014 listing of Super Lawyers Rising Stars. Adam lives in the Catskills with his wife and son. Adam enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking and biking with his family in the Catskills and the Hudson Valley.

Christopher R. Concetta R. Lomanto

Concetta Lomanto recently helped a client obtain a pre-suit settlement to compensate him for injuries resulting from a motorcycle accident. Concetta Lomanto of Maynard, O’Connor, settled a trucking accident matter on behalf of a retired physician from Salt Lake City, Utah, whose left thumb and rotator cuff were significantly damaged upon impact. The doctor’s injuries required surgical repair of the rotator cuff after a 16-wheeled tractor trailer, owned by Werner Enterprises, Inc., failed to stop at a red light. Numerous documents from Werner Enterprises, Inc., such as driving logs, damage appraisals, cell phone records, Bills of Laden, logistical reports for delivery and backhauling, and photographs were examined to determine whether negligence played a part in this accident. It was determined that the truck driver was negligent in his failure to stop, and subsequently Attorney Lomanto was able to secure a $650,000 settlement prior to trial in Federal Court of the Northern District of New York. Concetta Lomanto was honored to be a speaker at the annual End of the Year Retreat for the Bethlehem Central Lab School held at Silver Bay in Lake George. The Retreat hosted The Lab School student body and community, addressing the art of jury selection. The students played the role of jurors in a personal injury case, during which questions were posed by Attorney Lomanto. “They were the most interactive, inquisitive jurors that I have ever encountered in my 28 years of practice,” noted Lomanto. The seminar at Silver Bay allows students to collaborate, acquire, and apply knowledge in a real-world setting that focused on experiential learning. “It was completely invigorating and fun to teach four classes about such an important part of our judicial system,” said Attorney Concetta Lomanto.
