Rick B. Wood

Rick focuses his practice in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury, and workers’ compensation. He has handled workers’ compensation cases representing claimants in front of the Industrial Commission of Ohio. He also has extensive experience with various issues involving the bureau of workers’ compensation, payment of medical expenses, and ADL (alternative dispute resolutions). Rick has argued many hearings before District and Staff Hearing Officers at the Industrial Commission of Ohio. He has also conducted numerous hearings in front of the entire Industrial Commission on novel issues of law in Columbus, Ohio. Rick has represented defendants charged with misdemeanor and felonies in municipal, state, and federal courts in Ohio. Prior representation includes charges of drug offenses, assault, OMVI (DUI), and robbery. Rick has also represented clients in post-conviction relief matters to obtain early release from prison. He also has experience in expungement of criminal records (sealing of criminal records).

Jodi L. Wood

Jodi, an independent attorney, focuses her practice on workers’ compensation. She began her legal career representing Employers in all phases of the workers’ compensation system. In 1999, she began representing Injured Workers’ in their workers’ compensation before the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Industrial Commission of Ohio. Because of her unique perspective from the employer’s side, she has been successful in handling a multitude of workers’ compensation issues for the injured worker. She has extensive experience in managing claims so that her clients’ receive the benefits they are entitled to receive from the workers’ compensation system. She has attended thousands of hearings before the Industrial Commission of Ohio on multiple issues involving her clients.
