When Crashes Happen
The temporal patterns of crashes remained largely consistent year-over-year. Tuesday was the busiest day for crashes in both November 2022 (1,565 crashes) and November 2021 (1,573 crashes). Crash Severity Breakdown
While total crashes decreased, their severity increased in November 2022 compared to the previous year. Road & Environmental Conditions
Comparing road conditions, there was a significant shift in crashes involving adverse weather. Vehicles & Demographics
The composition of vehicles and persons involved in crashes showed little change year-over-year. The top five vehicle makes remained Honda, Toyota, Ford, Nissan, and Chevrolet in both November 2022 and November 2021, with counts for each decreasing slightly in line with the overall trend. The age demographics of individuals involved in crashes also remained stable, with the 26-34 age group consistently representing the largest share of persons in both periods.

Speed Limit Zones
The distribution of crashes across different speed zones was largely unchanged, with 25 mph zones consistently accounting for the highest number of incidents in both November 2022 and 2021. However, the profile of fatal crashes shifted toward higher speed zones.
