When Crashes Happen

The temporal patterns of crashes shifted between October 2019 and October 2020. The peak day for collisions moved from Thursday (1,870 crashes) in the prior year to Friday (1,653 crashes) in the current period. Similarly, the peak hour for crashes shifted one hour later, from 3 PM in 2019 to 4 PM in 2020. Road & Environmental Conditions

The environmental conditions associated with crashes changed year-over-year, suggesting better overall driving conditions in October 2020. Speed Limit Zones
