About Claire

Claire recently joined Laird Law Firm as an associate attorney after enjoying two summers with the firm as a law clerk. Claire grew up in Ames, Iowa, and completed her bachelor’s degree at Iowa State University. During her undergraduate years, her interest in law grew through working and interning in various legal settings: a correctional center, private practice, a county attorney’s office, and the state attorney general’s office. These experiences showed her how attorneys advocate for clients and help them navigate issues large and small, inspiring her to pursue a law degree. Claire graduated from Drake University Law School as an Iowa Supreme Court Scholar. Outside the office, Claire likes spending time with family and staying active. Her interests include running, gardening, and trying out new recipes. Her favorite weekend trips are to her mother’s family’s farm in the Loess Hills of Monona County. Claire is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and practices primarily in the areas of real estate, business law, estate planning, and estate and trust administration.
