Edoardo "Eddy" Maffia is a Senior Associate in the General Litigation Group at Barry McTiernan & Moore. Eddy graduated from Fordham University School of Law. During law school, he was a member of the Trial Advocacy team, Fordham Journal of Corporate and Financial Law, the Criminal Defense Clinic, and the International Human Rights Clinic. Eddy was recruited by an insurance company after law school and directly negotiated over $5,000,000 in bodily injury settlements. Eddy has further experience as an associate at a civil litigation firm where he gained invaluable courtroom experience defending clients from inception to resolution in multimillion-dollar civil cases. He then advanced to another litigation firm where he continued to gain experience in all phases of Federal and State litigation in labor law, general liability, motor-vehicle, municipal, and civil rights cases. Eddy then worked as an Associate in one of the most prestigious criminal defense law firms in New York State, where he oversaw the Civil Defense department, managed the Firm’s day-to-day operations and caseload, and worked on complex and high-profile civil and criminal cases in the state and federal courts of New York and across the country. Prior to joining BMM, Eddy was an Associate at a prestigious boutique firm and handled a full caseload of civil litigation (both Plaintiff and Defense), including employment, mass torts, and commercial matters from inception to resolution in state and federal courts.
