About Howard
Howard H. Sims, a member of the New Jersey Bar since 1974, brings to the practice an extensive array of litigation skills garnered from many years of trial advocacy. He is a member also of the Bar of the Circuit Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit (1983) and the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States (1977). Following a judicial clerkship with the Hon. Geoffrey Gaulkin, in the Superior Court trial division and a brief stint with the New Jersey Division of Public Interest Advocacy. Howard then spent the next nine years practicing criminal law, representing during trial dozens of persons accused of crimes ranging from simple drug offenses to bank robbery and homicide. He spent the next 12 years primarily engaged in trial advocacy representing both the interests of major insurance companies and, on the other side, the interests of private individuals in litigating matters involving substantial insurance coverage and personal injury issues. Currently Mr. Sims handles matters primarily involving indictable and municipal criminal court matters and civil litigation matters involving personal injury at both the trial and appellate level. He also handles miscellaneous litigation such as consumer fraud litigation and manages the firm’s personal bankruptcy practice.
