James C. Barkley is an Associate Attorney in the Corporate Division at Cobb Hammett. Born and raised in Charleston, SC, he graduated from The University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law, where he served as an Assistant Article Editor for the Journal of Law and Education and was a CALI Award Recipient for the Veterans Legal Clinic. He earned a B.A. in Government with a minor in Business from Wofford College, where he wrote for The Old Gold & Black and won an award for his sports story. Before joining Cobb Hammett, he clerked for Judge Mikell Scarborough, Master-in-Equity in Charleston County, and worked as an Assistant Property Manager. He is licensed in South Carolina.
