About James

Since earning his admission to the Louisiana State Bar in 2014, James H. Johnson has represented a varied client base in complex litigation matters. He has litigated diverse issues in state and federal courts, including automobile and trucking liability, products liability, construction defects, and wrongful death and personal injury matters. His practice has also focused on insurance coverage and bad faith issues. James Johnson grew up in Atlanta and moved to New Orleans to attend Loyola University, where he graduated with a BA in English. James graduated from Loyola University College of Law in 2014, where he attended the evening law program while also working as a law clerk at a local law firm focused on insurance defense and construction. Prior to law school, James worked in advertising and communications as a writer, researcher, and copy editor, serving a wide variety of clients, including corporations, public entities, and legislators. James currently represents corporate and insurance clients in litigation matters involving insurance coverage and bad faith claims, trucking and auto matters, and personal injury claims. James is licensed and admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and the New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel. James has also been selected to the Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars List 2019-2023. James lives in New Orleans with his wife, Ashley, and their two children. He enjoys supporting the Saints, watching baseball, playing soccer, and reading literature.
