About Jean

Since he began his legal career over twenty years ago, Jean Lavidalie, Jr. has gained extensive experience representing a diverse range of insurance companies, corporations, individuals, trucking companies, and municipalities in civil litigation, governmental and transactional legal matters. The main focus of Jean’s practice has always lied in earning results for clients in a wide variety of simple and complex litigation matters, specifically those arising out of transportation accidents and other personal injury issues, as well as those dealing with homeowner coverage and bad faith questions. Jean has also gained vast experience performing corporate and transactional functions for an array of clients including individuals, large cities and municipalities, and multi-million dollar corporations. He has also argued before Courts of Appeal and the Louisiana Supreme Court. Jean is a member of both the Louisiana and Georgia State Bar Associations and is admitted to practice in many state and federal courts in these jurisdictions. Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Jean formerly achieved honors as a student at Guatemala’s premier law school, Universidad Francisco Marroquin. In 1994, he immigrated with his parents to the United States and completed his education at the University of New Orleans and Loyola University School of Law, New Orleans. In 2001, he was proudly sworn in to be a United States citizen. A devoted family man, Jean delights in living life to the fullest with his beautiful wife and their children. Aside from his family, Jean’s passions lie in being an active church member, amateur historian, and loyal LSU & New Orleans Saints fan.
