About Jay
Jay R. Thakkar, a Brevard County native, earned his Bachelors in Finance and his Juris Doctorate in 2010 from the University of Florida. He is highly active in both local and state Bar Associations, having served on the Board of Governors for the Young Lawyers’ Division of The Florida Bar, as past President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Brevard County Bar Association, and past President of the Brevard County Bar Association. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Brevard County Legal Aid. Jay has been nationally recognized by Super Lawyers since 2015 and received the Associate of the Year Award twice from Vassar B. Carlton American Inns of Court. His practice areas include Criminal Defense, DUI/DWI, Traffic, Injunctions, Civil Litigation, Real Estate, Landlord/Tenant, and Foreclosures.
