About Kevin

Kevin P. Markey has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1988, licensed to practice in all Florida state courts. He is active in the Florida Bar’s Business Law; Real Property, Probate & Trust Law; and Administrative Law sections. He founded Markey & Fowler, P.A. in 1994, a five-attorney firm. He serves as general counsel to Eastern Florida State College and has represented numerous municipalities. With over 30 years of experience as a title agent, he has served as lead real estate counsel for local financial institutions and is a director of Community Bank of the South. His practice includes advising businesses, professionals, and nonprofits in wills, trusts, probate, business and real property law, and government affairs. He taught as an adjunct professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the University of Central Florida, and formerly served as a certified SBA business analyst and NFL contract advisor. He earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Florida and a J.D., with honors, from Florida State University. He was elected to the Port Canaveral Board of Commissioners in 2020, serving as Vice Chair and Chairman.
