About Jeff
Jeff Hughes attended College of the Canyons and the University of Oklahoma on a baseball scholarship before graduating from California State University Northridge in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. After a professional baseball career, he earned his JD from the University of Oklahoma School of Law with honors. He began his legal career as a personal injury defense attorney, specializing in fraud cases, and later served as a trial attorney for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. In 2000, he transitioned to plaintiff’s personal injury work, and in 2001, he co-founded Gibson & Hughes with Rob Gibson. He has tried many cases to verdict, including auto accident, slip and fall, dog bite, and wrongful termination claims. Jeff is an active member of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association and the Orange County Bar Association.
