Vincent D. Howard is Of Counsel to Gibson & Hughes, focusing on personal injury matters. He is actively involved in local, state, and national trial lawyer associations dedicated to consumers’ rights. He served as the 2016 president for the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association (OCTLA) and on the board of Governors for Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), where he was also a member of CAOC’s executive committee and co-founder of its Diversity Committee. He served on the board of governors for the American Association of Justice (AAJ) from 2016-2019, co-chairing its Membership Committee in 2019. He is a current member of OCTLA, CAOC, and AAJ. Howard has been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2013 and a 2015 National Black Lawyer-Top 100 Lawyer. Prior to his legal career, he honorably served in the United States Army as a military police officer from 1988-1992, including during the First Gulf War, and received the National Defense Ribbon. He has also lobbied on clients’ behalf in Sacramento and Washington D.C.
