Jim Piel

About Jim

Jim Piel was raised in California and Oklahoma. He graduated with Special Distinction from the University of Oklahoma and magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, where he received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for Excellence in Advocacy. He is also a trained mediator. He began his career defending large corporations but transitioned to personal injury trial law, focusing on mass tort litigation for individuals injured by hazardous chemicals, dangerous prescription drugs, and defective medical devices. He works as a managing attorney in the firm’s pre-litigation department and was named a Texas Rising Star in 2003 and a Texas Super Lawyer for many years.
