
About Jim
Jim Waide is the founder and a shareholder of Waide & Associates, P.A. He is a Vietnam veteran and a graduate of West Point High School, Millsaps College, and Tulane Law School. He served as a law clerk for Judge J.P. Coleman. His practice emphasizes employment discrimination and civil rights cases. He is licensed in Mississippi and the western district of Tennessee, and admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and several U.S. Courts of Appeals. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has successfully argued six cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. He is known for his work in McArn v. Allied-Bruce Terminix, Inc. and has tried more jury trials than any other Mississippi lawyer for the past five years. He is involved in community service and is a member of several bar associations. He has received numerous awards including the NAACP Legal Award, Unifest Humanitarian Award, Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame Unsung Heroes Award, Committee for King Community Service Award, Leadership in Law, and The Mississippi Bar Association’s Lawyer Citizen Award. He is listed in "Best Lawyers in America."
