Rachel Pierce Waide is a shareholder at Waide & Associates, P.A., focusing on civil litigation, employment law, personal injury, and medical malpractice. She has tried cases in state and federal courts and handled appeals to the Mississippi Court of Appeals, Mississippi Supreme Court, Court of Federal Claims, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She has tried more jury trials than any other Mississippi lawyer for the past four years, except her husband. She graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi University for Women with a B.A. in English and magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she was chair of the Moot Court Board and executive editor of the Mississippi Law Journal. She earned the American Jurisprudence Award in Torts and Legal Profession. She is licensed in all state and federal courts in Mississippi and admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. She has held various leadership roles in The Mississippi Bar Association and Lee County Bar Association, and is a past president of the Tupelo-Lee Humane Society. She was named to Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2006, Top 20 Under 40 in Tupelo in 2010, and Leaders in Law in 2011.
