John R. Fernandez maintains active practices as both a medical doctor and a lawyer, providing care to individuals with acute illnesses and injuries in both hospital and courtroom settings. His background as a highly-respected Emergency Physician offers a unique and valuable perspective to his legal representation of clients who have suffered catastrophic injuries or paralysis due to medical malpractice, accidents, misconduct, and other misfortunes. He also serves as an advisor and expert witness for attorneys nationwide, particularly in cases involving acute emergency illnesses and injuries. John completed his Emergency Medicine residency at St Vincent/Mercy Medical Center, where he conducted research and held a teaching resident position. He has also taught at the Florida State University College of Medicine and chaired the departments of Emergency Medicine, Radiology, and Pathology at Sebastian River Medical Center.
