Karl R. Steinberger has over 45 years of experience practicing law, with a general practice focusing on Federal and State workers’ compensation, employment law, insurance defense, personal injury, automobile, products and premises liability, environmental law, and wills and estates. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Mississippi in 1973 and his Juris Doctor Degree from the same university in 1976, being admitted to the Mississippi Bar that year. He joined the firm in 1984 after practicing in Pascagoula. Karl is a past president of both the Jackson County Young Lawyers Association and the Jackson County Bar Association. He is an active member of the Mississippi Bar Association, serving on various committees, and is a Fellow and past President of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. He also served as Vice-President of Mississippi Legal Services for over twenty years. He holds an 'AV' rating from Martindale Hubbell and received the Distinguished Service Award from the Mississippi Bar Association in 2008. He has been recognized as an Outstanding Lawyer of America and has been selected as a Mid-South Super Lawyer in employment law or workers’ compensation every year since 2013, including 2024. In 2018, he was named 'Lawyer of the Year' by the Mississippi Business Journal. He is also involved with the Gulf Coast Human Resource Association, Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, and the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
