About Katlyn

Growing up in Metamora, Illinois, Katie’s favorite place to go was at the historic Metamora Courthouse. The 1845 brick building on the town square is where Abraham Lincoln tried more than seventy cases throughout his practice and where Katie was inspired to become a lawyer. She’s a recent graduate from Drake University Law School where she was involved in AAJ Mock Trial, served as president of the Student Bar Association, and was recognized with the Justice Daryl Hecht Award. Katie is a member of the Order of the Barristers, the Iowa State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. An outdoor enthusiast, you can often find her hiking, kayaking, or playing tennis. She also enjoys going to concerts, reading, and spending time with friends and Aphrodite, her Calico Cat. Katie practices in litigation and dispute resolution involving business and commercial matters, criminal defense, estate planning, estate and trust administration, business formation.
