About Kristie
Kristie Mouney was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and grew up in the Orleans area. After high school, Kristie graduated from Louisiana State University in 1999. After college, Kristie began a career as an Algebra teacher. After 3 years of teaching, Kristie attended law school and earned a Juris Doctorate from Tulane University Law School in 2005. Kristie has been practicing law for over 20 years, in which her practice involves insurance coverage litigation, insurance defense, transportation defense, commercial litigation, premises liability, general liability, bad faith litigation and construction litigation. She has practiced before the state and federal courts of Louisiana as well as numerous other federal courts throughout the nation. Kristie is a member of several legal associations including the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, DRI- The Voice of the Defense Bar, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel and Themis Advocates Group. She has also received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV rating with a 4.8/5.0 peer rating. Kristie enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Clayton, and her two children, Carter and Grace.
