About Martin

Martin D. Gould is a Founding Partner at Stinar Gould Grieco & Hensley (SGGH), where he leads complex litigations and co-chairs the firm’s Sexual Abuse Practice Group. He has litigated in over 25 jurisdictions and played a key role in securing hundreds of millions in settlements and verdicts for victims of catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, mass disasters, product liability, toxic exposure, medical malpractice, motor vehicle and trucking accidents, workplace accidents, civil rights, and institutional sexual abuse and assaults, including global settlements in multi-plaintiff sexual abuse litigations totaling over $450 million. He has secured record-breaking multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements, including a $44.7 million verdict against the City of Chicago and a $21.3 million settlement for a minor sexually abused at a hotel. Martin has devoted a significant portion of his practice to helping survivors of sexual abuse and has led investigations into systemic abuse at youth residential treatment centers and juvenile detention centers. He is actively involved in legal organizations, serving on the Advisory Board of the National Crime Victims Bar Association (NCVBA) and in leadership at Child USA. He graduated cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University.
