About Martin

Before joining Weir Attorneys as a partner, Marty was an attorney with the law firm of Joseph D. Kaplan & Son for 25 years, the last 5 years as owner of the firm. Born and raised in the Chambersburg section of Trenton, NJ, Marty has been serving the legal needs of the local community throughout his career. While with Joseph D. Kaplan & Son, he focused his practice on personal injury, while also handling criminal defense and municipal court matters, including DWI. He graduated from Widener University School of Law in 1992, where he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. Upon graduation, he clerked for the Honorable Thomas DeMartin, the Presiding Criminal Judge in Mercer County Superior Court. As a partner with Weir Attorneys, Marty will continue to focus his practice on personal injury matters in our Trenton office. He also serves as the Municipal Prosecutor in Hopewell Township Municipal Court. Marty lives with his family in Burlington Township.
