Matthew S. Byzet is a partner at Thurmond Kirchner & Timbes, P.A., focusing on construction and civil litigation. He graduated from Butler University and earned his J.D. from Charleston School of Law. He began his career practicing construction litigation, premises liability, and insurance defense. He joined Thurmond Kirchner & Timbes, P.A., in 2014 and became a Partner in 2021. He is admitted to practice in South Carolina and before the U.S. District Court of South Carolina. He has received CALI Awards for Legal Research and Writing, Construction Law, and Intellectual Property, and has been named to Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2021-2024.
