About Megan
Megan B. Jacqmin was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. After graduating high school, she attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and was a member of the LSU Women’s Soccer Team. Megan moved to New Orleans to attend Loyola University New Orleans College of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, in 2010, was a member of the Loyola Law Review, and studied abroad in Vienna and Budapest. Megan began her legal career representing plaintiffs in personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, and premises liability claims. After several years as a plaintiffs’ attorney, she switched course and began representing defendants including insurance companies, businesses and individuals. Prior to joining Perrier & Lacoste, LLC, she gained significant litigation experience in both state and federal courts. Her defense background covers a diverse array of matters including automobile/commercial vehicle, personal injury, professional malpractice, premises liability, intentional torts and civil rights claims. Megan now serves as counsel for insurance carriers and corporations in the fields of transportation including hazardous material spills and exposure, personal injury, wrongful death and premises liability. She is licensed and admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the Southern District of Texas. She is a member of several legal associations including the American Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the New Orleans Bar Association and the New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel. Megan lives in downtown New Orleans and is an avid fan of the Saints and LSU Tigers, traveling, and her English Mastiff, Hazel. She loves New Orleans and is proud to call it home.
