Mr. Barnett was born in Queens, New York but moved to Boca Raton in 1987. He is a 1995 graduate of Boca Raton High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of South Florida where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In 2007, Mr. Barnett earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law. He is a member of the Florida Bar and has been practicing law since 2007. Mr. Barnett currently serves as the Chairman of the Republican Party of Palm Beach County, Florida. He was elected as Chairman of the REC in December of 2014, and in January 2017, he was also elected as the Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida. Mr. Barnett is a member of the Knights of Columbus and is actively involved as a parishioner at Boca Raton’s Ascension Catholic Church. Mr. Barnett advocates for issues involving immigrants and has been on missions and political trips to Haiti. In his spare time, Mr. Barnett volunteers at The Soup Kitchen in Boynton Beach, Florida.
