About Michael
Michael E. Short graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Business Administration (Marketing) in 1994 and an M.Ed. in Education in 1996. He received his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2004. He is admitted to practice in Alabama courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama. Michael is a member of the Lee County Bar Association and the Alabama State Bar Association, where he is active in the Family Law Section. He was voted 'Best Lawyer in Lee County, Alabama' in 2007. His practice focuses on family/divorce law, criminal law, university/campus student misconduct (including Title IX grievances), and general litigation. He also serves as a mediator in domestic relations/divorce cases and previously served as City Prosecutor in Auburn Municipal Court and an adjunct professor for Huntingdon College.
