About Michael
Michael S. Danon was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and Westchester County, New York. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Whitman College in 2003 and a Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2011. Following graduation, Michael moved to New Orleans, LA, where he sat for the Louisiana bar exam and then served ten years as a prosecutor for the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office. As a line prosecutor, screener, and Deputy Chief of Trials, he conducted more than thirty major crime jury trials and mentored the next generation of courtroom advocates and attorneys. He also served in the Appellate Division, where he handled multiple appeals and writs. Michael has argued cases before the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal and the Louisiana Supreme Court on a wide range of evidentiary, statutory, and constitutional issues. Prior to joining Perrier & Lacoste, Michael’s civil defense practice focused on general liability, Louisiana bad faith claims, hurricane litigation (Laura, Delta, and Ida), construction defect, labor and employment, and insurance coverage. His extensive investigative experience, trial advocacy, and appellate skills offer corporate clients invaluable insights and strategies to achieve their objectives. Michael currently resides in New Orleans, where he enjoys spending time with his daughter.
