R. Clarke Speaks is an Injury Lawyer. He recovers money for people injured in auto and workplace accidents. Clarke has recovered millions of dollars for injured people since he started the Speaks Law Firm in 1997. The mission of the firm is simple. We stand up for injured people against big insurance companies. He believes in investing time and resources in local youth sports programs and coaches soccer and basketball. He has received various honors and distinctions throughout his career, written a guidebook for young lawyers for the North Carolina Bar Association, presented at legal education seminars, and authored 'The North Carolina Auto Injury Book' and other works. He has spoken to large and small groups about his approach to the practice of law. Since 1997, he has represented thousands of individuals, businesses, and organizations all over North Carolina as well as Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. He has submitted briefs to the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court, and argued before the North Carolina Supreme Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia on many occasions. He has successfully represented individuals and corporations in litigation with the United States Government, the State of North Carolina, large and small corporate defendants and virtually every insurance company operating in the United States.
