Bob is a partner in the St. Louis office of Rynearson, Suess, Schnurbusch & Champion, an experienced trial attorney with 36 years of experience handling complex personal injury and wrongful death litigation, including premises liability , professional liability defense of doctors and attorneys, and product liability cases including playground equipment, automobile haulers and grain augers as well as mass tort and toxic tort cases for both the plaintiff and defendant. Since his graduation from law school in 1988 to his first jury trial in 1989 to today, Bob has limited his practice to trial work. In his time as a plaintiff’s attorney, he grossed over $20 million dollars in mass tort settlements in cases involving artificial hips and knees and pharmaceuticals. He has taken over 3000 depositions of both lay witnesses and expert witnesses in both Illinois and Missouri. He has tried cases in state and federal courts in both Illinois and Missouri. In 2000. Bob obtained a defense verdict in a federal products liability case, pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri , Long v. Cottrell, 265 F. 3d 663 (2001) which Missouri Lawyers Weekly listed as one of the Missouri Top Ten Defense Verdicts of 2000.
