Steve Pickens is a founding partner of Mahaffey Pickens Tucker, LLP and leads the firm's litigation group. He is a trial lawyer whose specialty is trying cases to a jury, having litigated over sixty-five civil jury trials to a verdict. He has won multiple seven and eight figure verdicts, most recently winning a $30,000,000 verdict - which was the second highest medical malpractice verdict in Georgia History. He graduated with honors from Mercer University and earned his law degree with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1992.
