About Ted
Ted Howell was born and raised in Jackson County, Florida, graduating as valedictorian from Marianna High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, graduating with honors. He then attended the University of Florida College of Law, graduating magna cum laude and obtaining membership in the Order of the Coif. He scored exceptionally high on the Florida bar exam, speaking at the swearing-in ceremony. From 2005 to 2007, Ted began his legal career at a law firm in Mobile, Alabama. He later moved to Panama City, Florida, focusing on auto accidents, dog bites, slip and falls, negligence, and wrongful death cases. He built a reputation as a skilled civil trial attorney and joined the Perry & Young law firm. Since joining, Ted has secured hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation for clients and is now a partner. He represents clients and their families who have been injured or lost a loved one. Ted is admitted to practice in Florida and Alabama, and by the U.S. Federal District Courts throughout Alabama and Northern Florida. He serves as Chairman of the Fourteenth Circuit Grievance Committee and previously served on the Board of Governors for the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar. Ted is actively involved in the community, serving on the Board of Directors for Tyndall Federal Credit Union and Girls Inc. of Bay County, and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Marianna/Panama City District of the United Methodist Church. He and his wife, Heather, are active members of Lynn Haven United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoys playing with his children, fishing, and spending time with his father in Mexico Beach.
