Additional Notes
Attorneys Paul A. Lauricella and Slade McLaughlin represented the Rollands. The award included $18 million for Ruick, $2 million for his wife Holly (loss of consortium), and $16,000 in punitive damages against the boy's father. The property owner and rental company were also found at fault.
