A Northampton County man, Scott Skirpan, who lost both of his legs after being run over by a bulldozer at a landfill in 2006, received a $16.25 million global settlement from his employer and the equipment manufacturer.

Additional Notes

Slade H. McLaughlin and Paul A. Lauricella of McLaughlin & Lauricella, P.C. represented Skirpan. The settlement included $12 million from Chrin Bros. and $4.25 million from Caterpillar Inc. Skirpan had to call 911 himself while trapped.
