Dangerous condition of public property case. Plaintiff, a recreational bicyclist who was on a training ride, crashed after hitting a pothole in the road and suffered a broken shoulder. Plaintiff alleged that Defendant City of Benicia maintained a dangerous condition of public property by allowing the pothole to exist on the roadway, which was regularly used by bicyclists. After filing suit, the matter settled at mediation for $71,500.
