Micheal S. Jackson
Micheal S. Jackson was born in Montgomery, Alabama on July 12, 1954. Mike attended Auburn University from which he graduated in 1976 with a B.A. degree in Journalism. After graduating from Auburn, Mike attended Cumberland School of Law, Samford University and obtained a Juris Doctorate in 1979, magna cum laude. While at Cumberland, Mike attained membership in the Cumberland Law Review (Associate Editor), the Moot Court Board (Associate Justice), Curia Honoris, and Phi Kappa Phi. Immediately after completing law school, Mike clerked for the late Hon. James Bloodworth, Associate Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, from 1979 to 1980. Mike then clerked for Hon. Robert Propst, United States District Court Judge for the Northern District of Alabama from 1980 to 1981. Mike began private practice in 1981 where his emphasis has been on civil litigation. His practice has included a wide variety of matters such as products liability, employment practices liability, medical malpractice, nursing home malpractice, workers compensation, construction, commercial litigation, first party insurance cases, premises liability, will contests and other civil litigation. Additionally, Mike has represented various agencies for the State of Alabama in civil litigation and legislative drafting for trade associations.
