E. Hood Temple

E. Hood Temple is a trial attorney and litigator at Temple & Hogsette Law, LLC with over 34 years of experience. Roger Edward Henderson Jr.

Roger Edward “Ed” Henderson, Jr. is a trial attorney and litigator at Temple & Hogsette. His practice areas include personal injury, workers’ compensation, and insurance bad faith litigation. He was born in Chesterfield, South Carolina. After earning degrees from Wofford College and the University of South Carolina School of Law, he began his career at a Bennettsville law firm, focusing on personal injury and criminal defense. He served as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Paul M. Burch, then served four years active duty in the United States Marine Corps. Post-military, he joined a large multi-state civil defense firm, then practiced civil litigation and criminal defense in Florence. In 2023, he joined Hatfield Temple. He also serves as a Judge Advocate in the South Carolina Army National Guard. His experience defending insurance companies gives him insight into how they evaluate claims. His practice focuses on catastrophic injury claims, including wrecks involving tractor-trailers, commercial vehicles, automobiles and motorcycles, premises liability claims, nursing home neglect/abuse, defective products, animal attacks, insurance bad faith, and workers compensation.

Alexander S. Hogsette

Alec Hogsette is a trial attorney and litigator at Temple & Hogsette Law. He exclusively represents survivors and a victim’s family with personal injury claims involving commercial motor vehicle crashes, tractor-trailer or 18-wheeler wrecks, car wrecks, work-related injuries, premises liability claims, nursing home neglect/abuse, defective products claims, victims of drunk drivers, and animal attacks. He leads a litigation team and has experience with complex cases involving traumatic brain injuries, amputations, spinal injuries, paralysis, and wrongful deaths. Alec graduated from the University of the South; Sewanee in 2004 and the Charleston School of Law in 2013. He worked for a Federal Court Judge and clerked for a Resident Circuit Court Judge. Prior to joining Temple & Hogsette, Alec defended insurance companies for nearly a decade, giving him insight into their evaluation methods. He uses experts in various fields to establish client claims. He serves on the South Carolina Bar’s Board of Governors and is a founding member and President of the Pee Dee Inn of Court. He is a past president of the Florence County Bar Association and the South Carolina Bar’s Young Lawyer Division representative for the 12th Judicial Circuit. He is a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice (SCAJ) and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys (ATAA).

Leary McKenzie

Leary McKenzie is an attorney at McKenzie Law Firm PC, with broad experience in state and federal court systems. He graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor for the South Carolina Law Review. Prior to his legal career, he earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina and worked for over a decade in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Katherine M. Ryan

Mrs. Ryan began her legal career working for a North Carolina Supreme Court justice. Prior to working at Temple & Hogsette Law, she worked for law firms in Birmingham, AL, and Florence, SC. Her experience allows her to provide effective counsel to her clients while simultaneously guiding them through the adversarial process with compassion and respect. She received her undergraduate degree at Duke University and her J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. She is admitted to practice law in South Carolina and Alabama in both state and federal courts, and is a member of various Bar associations, including the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association.
