Mikel Moore

Mikel conducts mediations and acts as an arbitrator. He brings to each assignment more than 40 years of civil jury trial and appellate experience. During his four decades in civil trial practice, Mikel most often represented insured and self-insured clients in civil defense jury trial and appellate matters. For example, he represented licensed professionals (primarily lawyers and law firms) in defense of liability claims, business clients in contract, personal injury and employment matters, ski areas and recreational providers in personal injury defense, and the State of Montana in defense of civil matters. Mikel tried an estimated 30 or more civil jury cases in state and federal courts in Montana, Wyoming and Arizona. He has briefed and argued an estimated 50 or more appeals in the Supreme Courts of Montana, Wyoming and Arizona, and in two federal Circuit Courts of Appeal (Ninth Circuit and Tenth Circuit).

Scott G. Hilderman

Scott G. Hilderman is an attorney with over 23 years of experience, specializing in criminal defense and civil litigation. He graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a B.A. in political science in 1991 and Seattle University with a law degree in 1994. He served in the U.S. Army Intelligence Corps and later the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where he was a Magistrate. Hilderman also worked as a prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney’s Offices in Kentucky and Texas, handling a range of criminal cases including international drug conspiracies. He established his own practice, Law Offices of Scott G. Hilderman, P.C., in 2009. He is a certified trial advocate by the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Army J.A.G.C. program, and a member of the N.W. Todd A. Hammer practices in general litigation, handling personal injury, property damage, construction or commercial losses, and worker's compensation cases. He holds an "AV" rating in Martindale-Hubbell and has been listed in Super Lawyers for at least five years. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and all Montana state and federal courts. He has over 46 years of experience and served on the Board of Directors of the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers Association.

Joseph P. Cook

Joseph P. Cook is a trial lawyer with a background in production agriculture. He has secured record-setting, multi-million dollar verdicts in medical malpractice and auto collision cases in Montana and was recognized as the 2020 MTLA Trial Lawyer of the Year. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Rocky Mountain College in 2005 and his law degree from the University of Montana School of Law in 2009. He began his legal practice as a federal law clerk for the United States District Court in Great Falls, Montana. He is an Eagle Member of the Montana Trial Lawyers’ Association and a member of the American Association of Justice.

Michael A. Bliven

Mr. Michael A. Bliven was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree with high honors from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana in 1990. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree and Certificate of Dispute Resolution from the Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon in 1994. After law school, Mr. Bliven represented injured individuals in Oregon City, Oregon at his firm before moving to Montana and Oregon in 2002 to join what is now Bliven Law Firm, P.C. Since the beginning of his legal career in 1994, Mr. Bliven has tirelessly focused his energy on managing personal injury and workers’ compensation claims for thousands of injured individuals while always keeping the best possible outcome for his clients in mind.

Samantha P. Travis
