A substantial portion of Ms. Quinn’s practice is defending railroad companies in personal injury, wrongful death and property damage cases. She regularly defends Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA) claims, a federal statute allowing railroad employees to sue their employer for on-the-job injuries. She handles toxic tort cases on behalf of a railroad client, alleging injuries due to asbestos and other alleged toxic exposures. Ms. Quinn also represents private and public clients in personal injury and property damage matters. She has considerable experience with the California Tort Claims Act and regularly defends public entity clients against claims alleging the dangerous condition of public property under Government Code section 830, et seq., as well as inverse condemnation. Her public entity work also includes litigating claims on behalf of public entities for damages sustained to public property and for theft of power.
