Judge Carl E. Chamblee has been practicing law for over 40 years. He has been a Municipal Judge for the City of Trussville since October of 1984 and for the City of Argo for more than 30 years. He is the Past President of the Alabama Municipal Judge’s Association. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and a Minor in Finance. He continued his education at the Birmingham School of Law and graduated in 1980 with a J.D. Judge Chamblee has lectured for the Alabama Magistrates and Court Clerks, the Alabama Municipal Judges Association, and Law Enforcement Training Seminars. Judge Chamblee has substantial trial experience in criminal defense, including 12 capital murder cases plus numerous felony cases, civil litigation (both plaintiff and defendants), wrongful death, probating of estates, and real estate litigation. David was born and raised in the Huffman area of Birmingham, AL. After graduating from Huffman High School, he attended Birmingham Southern College where he earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He earned his law degree at Birmingham School of Law and has been licensed to practice law in Alabama since 2000. Following a successful career in the aviation industry, where he served in executive management and in-house counsel positions for national corporations in Birmingham, Atlanta & Tampa, David established a private law practice focusing on, Probate, Family Law, Business Law, Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, and DUI. He joined the firm in 2022. Active in his community, David serves on the Trussville Employee Civil Service Board, and he is an active member and a past President of the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce.

A former Assistant District Attorney with tremendous trial and litigation experience, Scott has been licensed to practice law in Federal, State and Local Courts in Alabama since 1997. Scott served his Country for over 27 years on both Active and Reserve Duty with the U.S. Army. He retired in 2014 as a Lieutenant Colonel. Since resuming the practice of law in 2015, his areas of practice include Personal Injury and Tort Law, Family Law, Criminal Defense, and General Litigation. In January of 2025, Scott began serving as the Municipal Judge for the City of Argo, Alabama.

Shami Summers Malone has been practicing law in Alabama for over 20 years. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 1996. In 2000, she obtained her Juris Doctorate from Birmingham School of Law. She was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 2020 and is authorized to practice in all State Courts in Alabama. She has conducted thousands of real estate closings, both commercial and residential. Her areas of practice include Real Estate Closings (Residential and Commercial), Title Examinations, Estate Planning, Transactional Law, and Business Law.

Leslee joined our firm in 2017 after running her own successful small business for over ten years. Licensed to practice in Alabama since 1996, Leslee is also a former State Prosecutor with a tremendous amount of trial and litigation experience.
