About Katherine
Katherine Hung Newsom is a partner in the Morgan & Morgan Atlanta office committed to defending the rights of injured workers. She grew up in Columbus, Georgia and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Boston College, followed by a Masters of Social Work and law degree from the University of Georgia. After law school, she clerked for Superior Courts of the Western Judicial Circuit in Athens, Georgia and then for a State Court Judge in Gwinnett County. She subsequently worked for an insurance defense firm before switching to represent injured workers, which she has done exclusively since 2005. Her background in psychology and social work, combined with her insurance defense experience, informs her approach to representing injured workers in Georgia.
