About Andres
Andres Guerra was born in Edinburg, Texas, and grew up on his family’s ranch in Linn, Texas. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets. He worked as a Reading Clerk in the Texas House of Representatives during the 85th Texas Legislative Session. He attended law school at Texas Southern University - Thurgood Marshall School of Law, graduating summa cum laude in the top ten percent of his class. During law school, he worked at a national tax collection firm and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. After receiving his law license, he worked as an associate attorney at a statewide personal injury litigation firm in Houston, Texas, and later returned to the RGV to work at the Hidalgo County Criminal District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney, prosecuting thousands of cases.
