Barbara Nilva Nevin

Barbara Nilva Nevin has practiced law since 1979, focusing on family law, bankruptcy, employment law, and personal injury. She has practiced extensively in the Minnesota Court of Appeals, twice reversing district court rulings in a third-party custody case. She is a Judge of Conciliation Court in Hennepin County. Ms. Nevin was a plaintiff in Milavetz Injury Law, P.A., et. al. v. United State of America, which challenged portions of the Bankruptcy Reform Act (BAPCPA of 2005) on First Amendment grounds before the U.S. Supreme Court.
