About Daniel

Dan Gibson, a native of Hyde Park, and has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar since 1987. He is a 1977 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Boston, where he earned a degree in Political Science and is a graduate of the Suffolk University Sawyer School of Management where he earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration in 1979. Upon graduation from Suffolk University, Dan worked as the Deputy Assistant Register at the Suffolk County Probate & Family Court in Boston for eight years, four years of which were while attending law school evenings. He graduated cum laude from New England School of Law in Boston in 1987 where he served as the Lead Articles Editor for the New England Law Review. After a one-year clerkship in the Massachusetts Superior Court, he joined the firm of Sarrouf, Taricone & Flemming, P.C. in 1988, a boutique litigation practice specializing in major injury tort litigation and probate of estates relating to wrongful death cases, where he soon became a partner. In 2005, needing to make time for raising his two children, Dan returned to the Suffolk Probate Court as the Judicial Case Manager / Magistrate, a position he held for 12 years. In 2018, along with his long-time mentor Camile F. Sarrouf, Esq. and law partner Camile F. Sarrouf, Jr., Esq., Dan formed the firm Sarrouf / Gibson in Downtown Boston. In September he left his Boston practice and in October 2019, Dan assumed the position of Partner and Chief Litigation Counsel at our firm. He was admitted to the United States District Court Bar in 1988 and the United States Supreme Court Bar in 1993.
