Daniel L. Hightower was born and raised in Lakeland, Polk County, Florida. He earned a B.A. degree in history from Stetson University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Stetson Law School. He was elected as a Justice to the Honor Court and appointed to the Stetson Law Review Board. After moving to Ocala in 1973, he joined Green, Simmons, & Green Law Firm, and later started his own firm, Daniel L.
